Community Staff

Community Midwives

Midwives provide care for mothers before the birth of the baby and for a fortnight afterwards. Regular antenatal clinics are held at the local clinics, please call the booking line on 01702 385393.

Community Nurses

Community nurses are attached to the practice and are responsible for nursing care in the community. They are available when necessary. They can help with dressings, removal of sutures, injections, give care and advice to the acutely and chronically sick and the terminally ill, as well as advice and help with incontinence, if you are housebound.

Health Visitors

Health visitors are registered nurses who have further specialist training, particularly relating to expectant mothers, pre-school and school-age children and the elderly. Services include development assessments, child health clinic, and counselling and health education.
